Evolution of Tardis

We believe that VR that is hurtling the world into the future has to be future-proof. Tardis’s debut will be in 2019. The prototype will be in form of VR headset and omni-treadmill mainly to showcase its revolutionary concept and deliver the end-users’ experience. Tardis, after its first launch, will be geared up with more upgrades.

Tardis will have groundbreaking improvement in two phases. In 2021, the first generation of Tardis will be released. It consists of smart goggles and omni-treadmill embedded in the flooring. The semi-transparent goggles superimpose digital display on real objects and this marks the milestone of achieving mixed reality. Its smart design would consider your visual comfort.  Incorporating the omni-treadmill in the floor gives a larger coverage of sensored motion in the flat. This will be a significant leap from the prototype in which the omni-treadmill would be placed on the ground.

In 2025, the second generation of Tardis will come into the market. In it, you will have digital display on smart wall panels, which reconfigure themselves automatically according to your motion. This means a much higher degree of interaction between you and your housing module.

From 2021 to 2025, Tardis would have hardware uplift from time to time to enhance your experience. Wireless control, wireless charging and improved resolution of display are the future direction of the headset enhancement.  As for the treadmill, the elimination for the special shoes and improved motion sensor will be our next steps.

We are on the great leap towards a new immersive computing where users can no longer distinguish between real and virtual. It is predicted that the final vision of Tardis will be realised within 6 years’ time.
